Living alone-from an introvert’s perspective-is one of the best choices I ever made. But it’s funny that there are some things about this topic that no one in my circle seems to talk about. I just thought I’d outline them here (for fun, of course!):
Until I read The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine Aron, I had no idea why a lot of the places my friends and family really enjoyed were absolutely miserable to me. I’d always go because I wanted to be included but I wouldn’t be as pumped up about the experience afterward. More like needing a nap!

- The person you want to fix. (Because that always works out so well!) It’s one thing if you inspire this person to improve areas of his or her life but if you’re thinking “I can fix that about her,” you’re soooo wrong. People don’t change unless they want to. So, go into a relationship with someone you like, already. Someone whose flaws you can tolerate. Not someone you want to change.
