For the most part I don’t mind my day job. It wasn’t my dream to sit at a desk for most of the day but it pays the bills and most days I don’t have to take any work home. My personal life and my professional lives generally stay separate. I’ve been fortunate enough to sleep peacefully not needing to worry about work.
It was this week 13 years ago that one of the sweetest young ladies the world has ever known was born: My niece “M.” In one moment she made me into an aunt and showed me what love and first sight feels like.

I was introduced to Jane Austen at the age of 12 by my mom. She handed me her copy of Pride and Prejudice and I was hooked after the first chapter. I stayed up late several nights in a row to finish it and decided that I wanted to be just like Elizabeth Bennett.
